Ai-Ling Chiou is an international student from Taiwan. Her first exposure to photography was when she attended a Fine Art University, in this first exposure to basic photography, she realized that creativity is not only “hand drawing with paper and pen.”
Her desire to eternally capture and share the feeling of joy was found behind the camera lens. While shooting, she found that capturing people having fun and being joyful was something that flowed beyond the moment but rather into their day to day life. Even when she reflects on these images she feels the images' emotions have blended into her own. This has been a great motivator for her to go deeper into her work and career as a photographer. Having met so many wonderful people in her practice she has discovered another part of herself; photography has become a part of her - capturing and telling the story of love.
In this series, I aim to share what “true love in real life,” can look like. Simple little things occur in daily life where we can still see love flowing and the connection between two beautiful souls together. I believe even in the simplicity of life, we can still see the fire of love and its blossoming within each movement. From the fun to the serious, there are many dimensions to falling in love with someone. The two models in the images are beautiful, kind, understanding, warm and sweet people. My friendship with them has been integral in my life here in Melbourne, exposing their genuine care for one another in such touching natural ways, their love growing daily. They have inspired me to truly believe that their relationship is like gold; a material that always increases the price, as their love and connection grows stronger and stronger every day.

The main colour I used in the images is gold, because Gold and Silver prices always increase, just like their love, growing more and more.
